1762 Sep 30th
Carl Stülpner (other sources "Stilpner") is born in
Scharfenstein
as the 8th child of the a very poor family.
1770/1771
During a time of hunger in the region Carls father died. Carl is captured for the first time in his life for some stolen
food.
1779 Nov 18th
To avoid the hunger (his mother is known to have stolen food) Carl Stülpner
wents to
Chemnitz
to the Royal Saxon Regiment "Prince Maximilian" as an Royal Musqueteer and took part at the Bayrischer Erbfolgekrieg. Before that
Carl shot his first illegal roe at the so called Greifensteine near
Scharfenstein
.
1785
In arrest Stüpler flees from his military service during his regiments turns back from an manuevour and leaves Saxony. He wents to Bohemia,
Bavaria and Hungary. Back in Hannover he enters a Dragoon regiment, flees and sells horse and rifle. Back in Scharfenstein he meets
his later wife Christine Graf, who is 15 years younger than Carl - and the daughter of the local judge.
1793
Carl is wounded near Kaiserslautern, where he serves in the prussian infantery regiment "Prinz Heinrich" from Spandau he was
pressed in and from where he flees again in 1794.
1795 Oct 13th
Policeman searches in the house of Carls mother to find Carl. The 77 years old mother is abused by the policeman. As a reaction on this
abusing Carl is besiegeing Scharfenstein Castle. The single man binds soldiers, foresters and court services at the castle. On
December 16th he becomes wanted dead or alive with a grand of 50 Talers on his head. He was so well respected, that noone betrayed
him to the gouvernement.
1799
Carls and Christines son is born dead.
1799
Carls and Christines daughter Johanna Eleonora is born.
1800
Carl asks for an amnesty and returns to the army with a lifetime contract to earn some money for his wife an child.
1806
Carl took part at the battle of Jena and is captured by French, but escapes a little later.
1807
Carl wants to leave the army to support hes ill mother. When this was refused, Carl leaves the army again illegal and wents to Daubnitz
in Bohemia. His mother is cared by Johanna Wolf who follows Carl to Bohemia after Carl's mother died. In Bohemia he works as an merchant
and runs a little pub.
1813
When Saxony declars a general amnesty, Carl wents back to Scharfenstein and bought the house of hes family.
1800
Carl becomes a smuggler again and flees from Saxony. In the same year his wife died.
1822
In the age of nearly 60 years Carl meets - two months after the death of his wife -
the 27 years old Maria Anna Veronika Wenzora. 9 months later his son Carl Friedrich
is born. Carl Stülpner accept him as his son and documents it, signing the paper
with three crosses.
1823
Carl marries Maria..
1828
Carl leaves Maria while she is pregnant again. Meanwhile Carl is nearly blind.
1831
Carl got some money as an gift for an eye-operation. The operation is made in
Mittweida
and after that he may see at one eye again.
1834
In the age of 73 years Carls third child and second son is born. His mother is
a 24 years old woman from
Zschopau
1835
Carl sells his biography to Schönberg, but the book becomes forebidden.
1839
Carl Stülpner, ill and nearly blind wents back to
Scharfenstein
and is begging from one house in
Scharfenstein
to the next to provide him with food and a place to live. A lot of the
mostly very poor families in the village can't efford to support him so
he becomes very disliked.
1841 Sep 24th
Carl Stülpner died in
Scharfenstein
and was buried in
Großolbersdorf
. After his death - partially even during his lifetime -
his free way of life out of the given order and his illegal and illegal hunting
for game (in this time only legal for nobility) brought him the fame to be
the Saxonies Robin Hood.
